Frequently Asked Questions
Both Hard-Multicoated (HMC) can enhance lens durability and make them easier to clean, but they have different water-repellent and anti-static properties.
- Hard-Multicoated (HMC): A hydrophobic (water-repellent) coating applied to the lens surface. It works similarly to water droplets falling on a lotus leaf, as they don't stick but instead form round beads that roll off easily. This not only helps prevent water spots but also makes it harder for dirt and dust to cling to the lens, making cleaning much easier.
If you’re looking for better water and dust resistance with effortless cleaning. However, HMC still provides excellent water repellence and is easier to clean for everyday use.
